Peter Ward joined the port industry in 1983 working for a variety of agricultural customers of the port including Associated British Foods. Peter joined Forth Ports in 1996 and has held a number of operational and commercial roles within the Port of Tilbury, culminating in his appointment as the Commercial Director of the Port in 2017. During this time he has developed a number of new revenue streams and been involved in various large projects, most recently the port DCO
expansion project Tilbury 2, which is now operational. Peter holds an MBA and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
